Wooridul Hospital’s the Middle east expansion introduction scene was broadcast on ‘Korean medical wave blowing on the United Arab Emirates, the Middle East’ of KBS News on 10/30.

In the United Arab Emirates, ‘Korea Medical Tour Great War’ was held to inform excellence of Korean medical technique and to revitalize medical tour. Chang Hyun Bok correspondent reports Korean medical wave blowing on the Middle East.






The United Arab Emirates ' capital, Abu Dhabi, is one of the largest supplier of oil in the Middle East. Korean medical team provides free health consultation for natives. The Middle East’s temperature is over 40 °C, so natives tend to have adult disease such as insulin resistance syndrome and diabetes because of lack of exercise. Therefore they are interested in advanced medical technique based on an oil fund.












13 domestic hospitals and 7 medical tour enterprises participated in this event.

Last year, the people who went to Korea from the United Arab Emirates are over 1,100 people. Three times higher than the previous year, and their average fee for consultation per person reaches 17 million won. 

<interview> Jae Sung Lee(Korea Tourism director of international tourism) : “Natives get much information about Korean medical information. I expect that they will visit Korea for medical tour.” 
The United Arab Emirates’ medical market scale is estimated to nine trillion won, and here takes center stage as a high value added market what is related in medical tour. 
The United Arab Emirates is rising as a hub of Korean medical wave.
