'The 8th Global Healthcare & Medical Tourism Conference' was held on November 21th at COEX, Seoul. The conference was hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, and
organized by Korea Health Industry Development Institute(KHIDI).
More than 120 experts specializing in the global healthcare business and medical tourism are gathering today in Seoul for Medical Korea 2017.
Dr. Junseok Bae (President of Gangnam/Cheongdam Wooridul Hospital) received the Minister's Prize in recognition of achievement in attracting international patients.
Wooridul
Hospital has been providing total spinal treatment for over 36 years as one of the
representative spine specialty hospital. Since we first attracted international patients in 2006, it
has steadily increased and now over 12,600 patients from all around the world
have visited Wooridul until now 2017. In the early years, most patients visited
from East Asia and now it reaches 126 countries around the world.
Dr. Bae said “We
will continue to promote and educate the excellence of Korean healthcare, and keep
trying to contribute to the development of the medical industry and enhancing value of Korea’s
national brand along with the growth of the hospital.”
